I use the product for opened cans like fruit. Also plastic containers I cannot find the lid at the time and I'm in a pinch for it.

I will get rid of the plastic cluter and use my dishes with the lids for food safe storage. I have even used my covers on a sliced open watermelon without a bowl under it! Takes a little practice to master applying the lids.
