For the 50th anniversary of the first 90% silver Kennedy half-dollar issued for circulation in 1964, National Collector's Mint brings you this unique commemoration.

National Collector's Mint has procured never-released-for-circulation 2014 Kennedy half-dollars. As is suitable for this 50th Anniversary U.S. Government issue, each of these coins has been lavishly clad by National Collector's Mint in 10mgs of 24 kt gold.

Then, by special arrangement with Barry M. Goldwater, Jr. and the Goldwater family, each golden Kennedy Half Dollar has been paired with famous candid photograph of President Kennedy - a photo taken by Senator Goldwater himself inside the Kennedy White House. JFK personally inscribed the photo, suggesting that Goldwater "follow the career for which he has shown such talent - photography!"

Goldwater and Kennedy were friends though they were slated to run against each other for President when JFK was tragically assassinated. Barry Goldwater, Jr. explains the circumstances that led to this famous photo underneath the inscription.
