I ordered this thing and was very skeptical because of some of the reviews. Let's start by saying it is not magical. It is a glazed stoneware soup crock with a hole in the lid. That's it! It holds 1 cup with about 1/2" of space at the top. It is no more "non-stick" than the interior of a crock pot. Does it work? YES Will I return it? NO I have made several of the included recipes including poached eggs, baked apple crisp, and chocolate soufflé. All came out perfect! Rinse with hot water, wipe it clean and you're done. It is also PERFECT for heating one serving left overs. One reviewer stated it was way too small. It's not made to cook Sunday dinner, just one serving. Follow the recipes and it does what it claims it will do. When I first received it, I boiled some water in it to "sterilize" it and left it in the microwave for a couple of minutes. The handle did get hot but I guess that's to be expected. Keep a couple of pot holders close by when handling,...

very worried about possibility of lead (as indicated by one reviewer) so purchased First Alert lead tester. Test was completely clear (absolutely no lead).

Love this so much, bought my Grandson one. It is easy to use and fast cooking. the food comes out good. we like cooking eggs for breakfast, and you don't need oil or fat. We have 2 of them (one for hubby and one for me). Very easy to clean, and nothing burns. I already have recommend to friends.
